Hi — welcome to ToolMint. This is a one-person operation, testing AI tools on real work so you don’t have to guess.
I’m a freelance content and strategy consultant working with B2B SaaS companies, branding agencies, and startup founders. My deliverables are proposals, brand strategy docs, content strategy docs, research briefs, and client meeting recaps. No team — just me.
In 2023, I started taking AI tools seriously after a client asked me to figure out how AI could help their workflow. I spent months testing everything I could find. Most tools were mediocre. A few genuinely changed how I work. That distinction — what actually earns a place in a real freelance workflow versus what just looks good in a demo — is what ToolMint is about.
How this site works
Every tool covered here is something I’ve used on actual client work, not just played around with in a sandbox. When I say I cut pitch prep time from 90 minutes to 15 using Perplexity, that’s a real number from a real client project.
I use AI to assist with research and first drafts, because that’s the honest reality of staying current in a niche that moves this fast. Every post is reviewed, edited, and published by me. If something reflects actual experience, I say so. If it’s informed by research across multiple sources, I cite them.
My current tool stack
- Writing & editing: Claude (long-form drafts, editing), ChatGPT (quick reframes, brainstorming)
- Research: Perplexity (client research, competitor analysis)
- Productivity: Notion AI (meeting notes, project docs, inbox triage)
- Design: Canva (pitch deck visuals, client deliverables)
- Code & automation: Cursor (file automation, data cleaning scripts — I’m not a developer)
